Statement
My curiosity is sparked by art that contributes to the social conscience of our community. I’m drawn to art with visual rhythms. I’m inspired by what comes through, of the natural world. My focus is a semi-representational graphic aesthetic that also deeply values visible signs of the human hand, movement, life, mood, or emotion.
I was born and raised in San Francisco. My BA in Fine Art is from the University of San Francisco, 2011, and my MA in Museum Studies is from the University of San Francisco, 2017. I volunteered for six years at the San Francisco Zoo’s Insect Zoo, and I was an On-Call Educator for two years at the Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens. I currently teach art to ages 5 -11, and am working on an illustrated book about San Francisco's urban wildlife and San Francisco's history.
